SHCS – Swiss
HIV Cohort Study
The Swiss HIV Cohort Study (SHCS) is a national long-term study that has been running since 1988 and focuses on the monitoring and care of people living with HIV in Switzerland. It is a joint initiative of all Swiss university hospitals, large cantonal hospitals with associated laboratories as well as other partner hospitals and general practitioners who treat people with HIV.
The aim of the SHCS is to continuously improve the health of people with HIV through clinical, translational and basic scientific research. The study strengthens interdisciplinary collaboration and promotes scientific exchange at national and international level.
Checkpoint Zurich is an active member of the SHCS. In doing so, we make an important contribution to research and the continuous improvement of care for people with HIV in Switzerland.
