In November 2021, you can get tested for HIV, syphilis, chlamydia and gonorrhoea for only CHF 75 (instead of CHF 175) at Checkpoint Zurich – quickly, easily and anonymously if you wish. Young people born in 2001 or later even pay only CHF 25.
The offer is only available to gay, bi and queer men and trans people.
And this is how it works:
Make an appointment online and select “November test campaign” in the service. No Walk-In!
Why? We must not have too many people in the waiting room at the same time as a Corona protection measure. The appointments help us to serve all clients drop by drop. Please come on time. There may be waiting times despite an appointment. Unfortunately, we cannot accept walk-in clients.
Testing for the campaign takes place on the 1st floor. Register as usual at the reception.
You fill in the online questionnaire and wait for our counsellor to pick you up, take your blood and explain the smear tests.
Please note: If you need a detailed counselling, have symptoms or detailed questions, please book a regular HIV/STI check.
After five working days at the latest, we will send you the results by SMS. Most of the time we are faster.
Secure your test now!
If we all get tested, we will all be better protected. In our community, 1 in 40 men has HIV without knowing it. HIV is often transmitted because someone does not know that they are HIV-positive. Condoms or PrEP protect against HIV, but not reliably against other STIs. Despite an infection, you often have no symptoms and feel healthy. Those who test themselves protect their health and that of their sex partners.
All tests (HIV, syphilis, chlamydia and gonorrhoea) together cost only CHF 75. Young people born in 2001 or later pay only CHF 25.
We test HIV, syphilis, chlamydia and gonorrhea. For HIV and syphilis you will be given blood, for chlamydia and gonorrhea you will get a smear test.
Men who have sex with men:Yes!
Trans people? Yes, both trans men and trans women. Also non-binary oder queere Personen dürfen teilnehmen, sofern sie Sex mit Männern haben.
Lesbische, bi und queere Frauen? Nein; ausser sie haben Sex mit schwulen oder bisexuellen Männern.
Heterosexuelle cis Frauen? Leider nein.
Heterosexuelle cis Männer? Nein; ausser sie haben Sex mit Männern.
Unfortunately, not everyone can benefit from the discounted test This is because the Federal Office of Public Health defines some groups as particularly vulnerable in terms of HIV. During the campaign, however, we will continue to offer our regular STI tests. If you are unsure whether the favourable tests apply to you, please speak to one of our employees.
The campaign runs from 1 to 31 May 2021.
We prefer payment by card. You can pay with Maestro & credit cards and Twint during the campaign. Unfortunately, we cannot offer the Postfinance card during the campaign. And cash is also possible, of course.
