These prices are only valid when paying directly, and cannot be submitted to the health insurance company. For health insurance clients, the official Swiss rates apply. Our prices include consultation with a specialist nurse and the communication of results by e-mail or SMS.
Billing of Doctor’s medical services
When our doctors issue an invoice, they apply the uniform TARMED rate for Switzerland. Each service is assigned a certain number of tax points, depending on the time required, difficulty and necessary infrastructure. As a guideline, our physicians charge approximately CHF 3.30 per minute of treatment. Medical services rendered can be invoiced via the health insurance company. You are welcome to request a cost estimate for a doctor’s appointment by e-mail or to contact your doctor personally.
Direct payment or health insurance?
Our price system is divided into two categories. You have to decide before the test how you want to be billed.
If you pay directly on site (cash or card), we can offer you cheaper laboratory costs. Our goal is to make STI tests as inexpensive as possible in order to make them as accessable as possible to all. The price table above refers to our direct payment option. After the test or treatment, you pay directly at Intake and receive no further invoices. This treatment must not at any point be submitted to the health insurance company. This pricing model makes sense if you want to remain completely anonymous or if you have a high health insurance franchise.
If you would like to submit our services to your health insurance, we will gladly invoice your health insurance company directly. The service will be divided into two invoices: one invoice includes our services and the second includes the laboratory costs. The price for our services is the same weather you pay directly or through your health insurance. The laboratory’s service however, is higher for the health insurance because we use the official Swiss rates. This pricing model makes sense if you have already reached your franchise or if you do regular STI tests and always submit them to your health insurance.
