Checkpoint at the Pride Festival
At the Zurich Pride Festival on the Kasernenareal, Checkpoint Zurich was present with a strikingly designed tent, offering free HIV tests as well as PrEP consultations. The tent was centrally located, fully accessible, and highly visible. Supported by drag queens, staff, and friends of Checkpoint, informational materials and giveaways were distributed. A particular highlight: 4,000 cups of free ice cream, which attracted attention and provided refreshment in the summer heat.
Pride parade
On Saturday, 18 June 2022, the Pride march with 40,000 participants made its way through Zurich’s city centre. Accompanied by drag queens, staff, and supporters, the campaign promoted the offer of “Free HIV Testing” with T-shirts, giveaways, and a striking truck. The truck carried the message “Fuck without fear – undetectable = untransmittable”, making a strong statement for sexual health and visibility.
